(January 17, 2011) -- The FTC has targeted an Internet business that allegedly offered government grants and low cost Internet money making opportunities to consumers. The Commission charged Jeremy Johnson, nine of Johnson’s associates, I Works, Inc., and nine additional affiliated companies with misrepresenting information. Johnson and his associates, the FTC charges, created 51 shell companies to carry out the alleged scam.
