FTC doubles down on identity theft targeting senior citizens

(May 15, 2013) -- Identity theft is at the top of the list of all the complaints that older citizens raise with the Federal Trade Commission. That fact was highlighted by FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez at an all-day forum on May 7 that focused on the vulnerability of seniors to fraudsters that target their tax and government benefits, medical benefits and bank accounts.
